Hi! My name is Tracy & I'm the owner of Boogie Oogie Entertainments.  I want you to feel safe & confident booking your live music with my little local business so I thought it might help to know a little bit about me & my background.

I Love Music!

I've loved Music ever since I can remember!  As a child I was always singing!  I even had quite a hi-tech karaoke machine (for the 90's!) that I'd spend hours singing along to & making all my friends or family have a go too!  I was very lucky to have the opportunity to learn a few different musical instruments and I worked my way through the classical ABRSM grades, although singing was always my favourite thing of all!

I went to Music College & when I studied for my Music Degree I swapped my main instrumental study of trumpet for singing. I majored in performance, developing a new love for jazz & studying jazz vocals with the amazing Anita Wardell.

I started performing and gigging with fellow musicians at pubs, clubs and weddings whilst studying. I formed my own jazz quartet and sung in a function band.  At the same time, I started teaching singing and instruments in schools and eventually ended up in the classroom as a Head of Music which I did for a number of years.

​

Recently, I decided that I wanted to work as a full-time musician again & I love singing at weddings, parties, pubs, clubs and even care homes!  I go out solo with backing tracks and I have my own band OLD SKOOL.

As you can see, I live and breathe Music!  It's what I do and although I don't want to give my age away, I've been performing and booking my own gigs for a long time!  I have years of experience dealing with clients and organising other musicians.  I know what needs to be done and exactly what the requirements are for a good performance.  I understand what will work and what won't & I can advise you with timings and guide you to choose the right kind of music for your event.

I started this agency with my own band and recruited my friends and colleagues - musicians that I trust and are highly skilled!  I have a huge network of contacts, so even if you can't see what you want on my site then I will probably be able to find it for you.  The agency has already expanded and I have found friends of friends & other respected musicians to join me.

If you book with me then you know you are getting a great quality and reliable act.  I won't have just anybody on my books - I'm kind of fussy!  I'm also really organised & I'm on my phone a lot (too much!) which means I'll reply to any questions or queries you have very quickly!

Some bands will tell you it's cheaper to book direct.  They'd be right in most cases.  However, I really think my experience in this industry makes it a worthwhile choice supporting my small business.  I don't have hundreds of acts on my books like the big agencies but the ones I do have are all amazing!  And by booking with me you'll know exactly who you are dealing with.  I want you to be able to put a face to the name & give you a personal approach. Lastly, if the worst happens & there's illness or a really good reason why your chosen act can't make your event, I'll find you someone else equally as good!  In fact, we've already come to the rescue for a couple of events where the booked act had let them down.  It's probably easier to just book through us in the first place!
